Our lone qualifier for state, senior captain and 3-year runner Michal Cantrell will be competing in the 1A2A girls State Championship race which is scheduled to start at 11:10 a.m. This will be her third appearance at State (the first two were with the full girls team), which makes her the ONLY Knight so far to have competed in THREE State Championships! GO MJ!!

Team Announcements
The 2009 Gilbert Christian Invitational has been rescheduled for Tuesday, October 20, still at Crossroads Park in Gilbert. The start time of the first race has been moved up to 4:00 p.m. Varsity boys at 5:00, girls at 5:30, Awards follow.
The 2009 Gilbert Christian home cross country meet will take place at Crossroads Park on Tuesday, October 6, starting at 4:30 p.m. Invitations have been sent, and volunteers will be needed!
The date of our home meet is set! It will take place on Thursday, September 18, 2008, at Crossroads Park in Gilbert. If the only races are varsity boys and girls, the event will start at 5 p.m. If there are junior varsity races, or one JV race, the whistle will blow at 4:30 p.m. A dozen teams have been invited, and it should be the biggest and best meet we've hosted.
About Our Team
The Gilbert (formerly Surrey Garden) Christian High School Cross Country program began in 2005 with a small boys team. The team expanded in 2006 and qualified for the 1A/2A State Championship. In 2007 a girls team was added, along with a new girls' coach. This time the girls qualified for the 1A/2A State Championship, while the boys were rebuilding. The 2008 teams were both larger, with yet another new girls' coach, and BOTH squads qualified for the 1A State Championship!
